How do I use the new Content editor?

The Content editor allows you to easily edit one of the templates we offer to suit your needs. You can easily manage sections, upload images, files, manage content, generate text versions of the template and preview your template.

To create your template with new Content Editor, got to Templates section in your account, click on Template gallery and then select to edit one of the templates we offer. (The same process can be used while editing a campaign)

Editing content

When you enter the editor, you will see a toolbar at top which allows you to switch between Visual Editor, Text editor and Preview.

On the left side of the toolbar you will see an option to change color scheme of your template.

At any time you can save your content or cancel updates, which will revert the template into the state it was before you entered into the editor.

Visual editor

In Visual editor, you will see different sections which you can edit. Every section has a button which allows a different level of management. For example:

• Edit button will allow you to edit text, add tags and attach documents
• Add new block button will allow you to add new sections to your template
• Edit,Move,Delete button allows you to edit section, delete it, or move it up or down

Editing content in Visual editor

When you click Edit,Move,Delete button, you will enter into the content editing mode for that section of the template. In this mode you can edit header of the section (top textfield), main content (main text area) and you can add Tags, Attach Documents, Upload images.

In main text area, you can change text style of the content (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough), alignment, make text bulleted or add, remove links. Please note that working with styles could slightly vary in different browsers.

Attaching tags in Visual editor

Attaching tags in section in the Visual Editor is really simple. All you need to do is go to one of the sections you want to edit, select the Add Tags option, select one of the tags from the dropdown and then click Add this tag. Your tag will appear in the place your cursor was located in text area. Please note this will vary too for different browsers, like Internet Explorer.

Attaching documents and images in Visual editor

Attaching images and documents is very easy and similar to attaching tags in Visual editor. All you need to do is select Attach Document or Upload. To attach a document you will browse your document which you have stored locally (please note it must not exceed 10Mb in size and can only be a .PDF). To attach image, you will delete the existing image and then browse to your image which you have stored locally (please note it must not exceed 200kb in size).

Text editor

In the text editor, you can add content which would be visible if users want to see only the text version of your campaign, when you send it. The text editor works the same as other sections, except it allows you to generate text version of the html content too. If you click Generate text version, you will see Generate text version button and by clicking it, the content for the text campaign will be generated. Please note that the content could vary compared to the html content, and you might need to adjust it. Generated text will be automatically adjusted to the recommended width of the text version of campaign, but you can change this too.

Preview

Preview will allow you to see how your template will look like when sent out, and it hides all the editing buttons which you can see in Visual editor. Please note that it is still best to send out a test campaign of your campaign before you send out the campaign, so you could see how it looks in your favorite email clients (Hotmail, GMail, AOL..) or web email clients (Apple mail, Thunderbird, Outlook)

Saving content

When you have finished designing your template, all you need to do is click Save Content. Your newly created template will appear on Your Templates page in Templates section. You can select this template later when you will be creating your campaigns. Please note that when you create the campaign, and select this template, we will actually create a duplicate of this custom template for your campaign, so you will still have the same custom template in Templates section in case you want to use it for other campaign
